Revanth lost TDP Floor Leader Post

Assembly monsoon session of Telangana begins Friday, The Telugu Desam Party stripped Revanth Reddy of TDLP floor leader post with immediate effect. Revanth Reddy has been barred from organising TDLP meeting on Thursday a day before the session.While Revanth Reddy already called for TDLP meeting, the party took the decision to hold the TDLP meeting in party head office NTR Trust Bhavan and not in TDLP office in the Assembly premises. The party is also likely to appoint another leader as TDLP floor leader in the assembly. At present three MLAs R Krishnaiah and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Revanth Reddy were representing the TDP in the assembly.
Leaders said since Revanth did not give any explanation on his anti party activities, the party decided to keep away Revanth from the TDLP meeting also. It was also decided to scrap the second in- command post in the party in the Telangana TDP party unit.
Taking serious note of Revanth's 'anti party activities, the Telangana party unit already forwarded a resolution delegating powers to the TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu for the expulsion of the dissent leader from the party. Naidu would take disciplinary action against Revanth soon after his return to Hyderabad from his foreign tour.
'There was no working President post in the party even since the TDP floated in 1983. Recognizing Revanth's leadership abilities, the post has been created exclusively for him in the party. All the TDP leaders including himself recommended Revanth's name for the second in command post in the party in 2015 to strengthen the organization in the Telangana state' said Party Telangana President L Ramana.
