Treatment is going on for Nalgonda Babies : Niloufer Hospital

Hyderabad: Superintendent of Niloufer Dr. Murali Krishna said that At least 15 babies from Nalgonda Sisu Vihar, have been admitted to Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad, from the past two months, with infections. The condition of one of them is critical and the baby has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit. Most of the cases are infections due to lack of mother's milk and unhygienic conditions. While these incidents are not uncommon, training is being given to the staff, to wash their hands, before touching the babies. The risk of infections in these babies is at least 40 per cent high, as they are away from their mothers.
