Akbaruddin raises food adulteration, spurious medicines issue in assembly

Wed, Nov 08 : In the ongoing winter Assembly session, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi raised the issues of food adulteration and manufacturing of spurious medicines in Hyderabad. He expressed anguish over milk is being adulterated. Owaisi said fewer officials have to cover the vast area of Hyderabad to check food adulteration.
He brought to the notice of the House that those who are involved in food adulteration are habitual offenders. The MIM leader stated that fake medicines are being sold in Hyderabad. It is estimated to be atleast Rs 10,000 crore worth fake medicines are being manufactured in Hyderabad.
