BJP Men Attacks on Kancha Ilaiah in Telangana

Jagityal : Apart from faceing protests from the Arya Vysya groups, now the BJP men tried to attack controversial writer Prof Kancha Ilaiah near Korutla court in Jagtial district on Wednesday. He came to Korutla court for appearing in the court related to a case. The BJP men threw eggs towards the car of Kancha Ilaiah and raised slogans against him. But, the police gave complete protection to Kancha Ilaiah and stopped the BJP activists from attacking him. The policemen took some BJP workers into custody. At the court, members of Arya Vysya community staged a protest.
The writer has been facing protests from the Arya Vysya groups for describing the trading community as social smugglers in his Telugu book "Samaajika smugglerlu komatollu".Arya Vysya communities are seeking a ban on the book and the arrest of the writer for hurting their sentiments.
