Hyderabad : The Hyderabad police has heightened security in old city during the anniversary of demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya on 6th December. The police officials made elaborate security arrangements in the old city of Hyderabad to avoid communal clashes and untoward incidents as certain political parties and religious institutions are observing Black Day on Wednesday to commemorate the demolition of Babri Masjid. The police warned political parties and religious institutions not to take out rallies and organise public meetings in the old city and Sec 144 was imposed until Thursday evening.
City Police Commissioner VV Srinivasa Rao said that "In the city, 144 section will be in vogue in Hyderabad from 6am hrs on Tuesday, till 6am hrs on Thursday". Rallies,Dharnas,public meetings,flags were prohibited.There were 3,000 police men were deployed in old city establishing a special security force.
