Kavitha wants more research on Telugu language poets of yore

Hyderabad: Pioneering efforts in Telugu literature were made by poets and writers in Telangana region even before the time of  Nannayya through his rendition of ‘Andhra Mahabharatham’ which was popularised as first literary work in Telugu. However, poets and writers from Telangana region were denied credit in undivided Andhra Pradesh, said K Kavitha, Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi founder president.

Kavitha gave an extensively researched presentation on early literary works of eminent poets and writers from Telangana region, during a meeting with NRIs on promotion of Telugu literature, culture and education at Ravindra Bharathi on the last day of World Telugu Conference (WTC) on Tuesday.
