Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his estranged second wife, four-year-old daughter and 55-year old mother-in-law in Hyderabad.
The bodies of Aparna (30), her daughter Kartikeya (4) and mother Vijaya Lakshmi (55) were found in partially decomposed condition at their flat in Gautaminagar area of Chandanagar on the city outskirts on Monday morning. The murder is said to have taken place on Republic Day.
Aparna's husband Madhu surrendered before the Kukatpally police in the evening and reportedly confessed to having committed the offence. He reportedly said that he was angry with Aparna for having a close relationship with a mobile shop owner. The Kukatpally police handed him over to Chandanagar police under whose jurisdiction the offence took place.
According to police, Madhu killed his wife by banging her head against the wall near the kitchen door. Then, he strangulated his daughter and mother-in-law. "The girl was found with the nipple of a milk bottle in her mouth indicating that she had died while sucking poisoned milk," Madhapur Deputy Police Commissioner Viswaprasad said.
