Yadadri-Bhongir: District Collector Anitha Ramachandran on Thursday expressed anguish over the delay in Mission Bhagiratha works in Yadadri-Bhongir district. Reviewing the progress of Mission Bhagiratha works at the District Collectorate, Anitha Ramachandran instructed officials to stick to targets.
She reminded that the government had directed to set up 100 teams for the speedy completion of works, but expressed displeasure as only 47 teams were set up so far. She further underlined the need to form 100 teams for completing Mission Bhagiratha works in the remaining 194 habitations.
She instructed officials to complete works in 30 hamlets per week. Out of the target of 74,000 water tap connections, 41,500 connections have been grounded so far, she said. She asked officials to complete the remaining connections by March by giving 800 connections every day.
She also underlined the need to complete Mission Bhagiratha works in Thurkapally mandal by February 10 and directed officials to start the works of seven pending water tanks immediately.
