Kerala-based Business man Boby to spend a day to 'Feel The Jail'

Sangareddy: Kerala-based business man Boby Devassikutty Chemmanur, who is the chairman of Chemmanur International Jewelers and other businesses owned by Chemmanur International Group, will spend a day in prison under the “Feel the Jail Programme” at Heritage Jail Museum in Sangareddy.

Chemmanur, who is well-known for his charity work, will be coming to Sangareddy with three of his friends on Monday. They will stay in the prison by paying Rs 500 each for 24 hours.

Speaking to Telangana Today, Superintendent of Jail, Santosh Rai, said that they would serve ordinary meal being served to inmates of Sangareddy to each and every person coming to spend time in the jail irrespective of their social and financial status.

He has further said that they would strictly follow the guidelines framed by the Director of Prisoners and Correctional Services VK Singh.

The facility introduced during September, 2016 was in news as it had received two foreign visitors from Malaysia a week ago.
