Nalgonda: The CPI(M) Central committee member Prakash Karat on Monday said that they would finalise the State-wise strategies during the elections to defeat the BJP.

Speaking after inaugurating a photo exhibition which was organised at the CPI(M) State level conference venue in Nalgonda, Prakash Karat said that the CPI(M) would make efforts to expand the Bahujan Left Front to other States based on the political situations prevailing there.

Strongly opposing the BJP government’s ‘one nation-one election’ plan, he felt that the concept was against democratic spirit.

Commenting on the Union budget, the CPI(M) leader pointed out that the BJP government has made bombastic promises in the budget without allocating required funds for their implementation and expressed wonder over the government’s plan to ensure MSP to farmers without allocating funds in the budget for the purpose. Reminding that health experts demanded allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore in the budget for the health sector, he questioned as to how the Centre can ensure quality health services and health insurance facility by allocating a mere Rs 2,000 crore.

He also pointed out that petrol and diesel prices increased nine times after BJP came to power at the Centre.
