Hyderabad: The city witnessed a light drizzle on Wednesday evening, an unusual weather feature during a winter month.
The weather remained cloudy throughout the day, with sporadic drizzles experienced in various pockets of the city.
The sudden change in the weather is due to Western disturbance over Pakistan to northern India that moved southwards.
A trough of flow has moved from North to South bringing relatively high moisture in the atmosphere and cloud formation.
The weather is likely to remain cloudy for the next couple of days. The local weather bureau said, “The Western disturbance caused a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, and a trough is prevailing over south-west Bay of Bengal across Rayalseema in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This will bring light rain at isolated places across districts and light drizzle at irregular intervals, while cloudy weather will prevail for a few more days.”
