Hyderabad: Telangana Mahila Fair Price Shop Dealers Association (TMFPSDA) has urged the State government to increase the commission on ration subsidy according to the Food Security Act 2015.

Speaking to presspersons here on Wednesday, TMFPSDA convenor Vasantha Mohan said the present commission of Rs 20 per quintal given by the government was not sufficient.

“We request the government to increase subsidy rates according to the Food Security Act 2015, which is a minimum of Rs 70 per quintal plus Rs 17 per card for maintenance of E-POS (Electronic Point of Sale) machine,” she said.

Vasantha also wanted the dealers to be either treated as public servants just like other departments and given fixed salaries or given a monthly commission of Rs 60,000 in HMDA limits, Rs 50,000 in municipalities, Rs 40,000 in district headquarters and Rs 35,000 in rural areas.
