LIC South Central Zone beats target

HYDERABAD: LIC’s South Central Zone surpassed its Annual New Business Premium Target of `4,200 crores and recorded its highest ever growth rate of 70 per cent in Total New Business Premium Income.South Central Zone stood number three at All India level in the Total New Business Premium Income. LIC’s flagship product, Jeevan Akshay -VI, the guaranteed return immediate annuity plan - has collected a mammoth premium of `2,000 crores in this fiscal, an official release said.

The Zone is planning to sell 15 lakh of new policies with a premium income of `1,500 crores by the end of March 2017, said TC Suseel Kumar, zonal manager, LIC.LIC South Central Zone stands first in the country by settling 1,33,404 total death claims amounting to `1666.35 crores.
