Hyderabad Mar 25 : Telangana IT and Panchayati Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao informed the Assembly today that the lackadaisical attitude of the new management led to the closure of the Sirpur paper mills located at Sirpur Kagaznagar in Adilabad district.

He said the problems started cropping up in the mills employing 3,000 people after the new management took over and tried to pressurize the government for gains.

Referring to the government efforts to reopen the mills, he said that a bankers meet was conducted recently to explore the possibilities to restart the mills.

Mr Rao assured the members during question hour that the government would leave no stone unturned to provide succour to the workers who solely depended on the mills.UNI SMS CS 1417
