Hyderabad: The state government on Wednesday extended the date for disposing of applications under Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) by one month. The applications under LRS will be disposed of by March 31. Principal Secretary, municipal administration, Arvind Kumar has issued orders to this effect.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority and other urban local bodies have processed the pending LRS applications on a priority basis, scrutinised large number of applications and issued intimations to applications for payment of balance LRS charges and submission of shortfall documents.

With several applicants coming forward to comply with the guidelines, it was felt that some more time is required to dispose of the pending applications. Therefore, the government has decided to extend the time limit up to March 31.
