Adilabad gets its own Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

Adilabad: Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Adilabad district Head Post office, here, on Thursday. He was accompanied by Adilabad MP G Nagesh.

Postmaster General Colonel M Eleesha, Chief Postmaster General B Chandrasekhar, Regional Passport Officer Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Municipal Chairperson R Maneesha, Collector D Divya, and Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier were present at the inaugration ceremony of it.

Ramanna said State government was making efforts to expedite the process of issuing passports to citizens. He said not only people of Adilabad, but also people of Nirmal and Kumram Bheem districts would benefit from the newly created facility. He said, now, public need not to travel to Nizamabad for obtaining passport.

Nagesh said Rs 10 lakh was released from funds meant for Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). He said the centre would be developed with all facilities.
Vishnuvardhan Reddy said Telangana was in top slot in rendering passport services in the country.
