NABARD works in TS praised by Union Ministry

Hyderabad: The Union Agriculture Ministry has appreciated the pace of works under the NABARD sponsored projects in the State, Agriculture Principal Secretary C Parthasarathi said here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion of the 6th board meeting of State Horticulture Development Corporation, he said so far 1.45 lakh hectare was covered under micro-irrigation projects against the target of 1.26 lakh hectare in the State. He congratulated officials for crossing the target and extending micro irrigation facility to more areas in the State. He said a team from Germany had also visited several districts in the State where NABARD projects were being implemented and expressed satisfaction.

Parthasarathi said the State government has also sanctioned Rs 10.65 crore for spice processing unit at Jeedimetla. He directed the board members that the processing of eight produces should start from Dasara festival.
