200 trees lost due to fire at Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Nearly 200 trees were burnt on Tuesday after fire engulfed the premises of the Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) at Yellareddygudem.
When the grass near the main gate caught fire, the flames spread rapidly and reached the university canteen, sparking panic among staff and students.
Saplings were planted in the area between the main gate and the canteen a few years ago.
Firefighters arrives at the scene after university authorities alerted them. It took more than half-an-hour to douse the fire.
