Warangal Urban: The fear of getting low marks in exams drove an Intermediate second-year girl to suicide at Charbowli under Intezarganj police station limits in Warangal on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanigaram Chandana, daughter of Satish and Swaroopa, who was studying MPC second year at SR Junior College. She appeared for the chemistry paper on Wednesday and ended her life by hanging to a fan with her chunni while her parents had gone to attend a marriage.

On returning home in the evening, the parents found Chandana hanging to the ceiling fan and also found a video in her phone which was recorded by her before she hung herself, saying that she had failed to fulfil the dreams of her parents.

She also apologised to her parents for her decision to commit suicide. It is reported that Chandana was indeed good at studies. The body of the girl was shifted to MGM Hospital for postmortem.
