Minorities Budget for The Financial Year 2018-19 Raising it to Rs. 2000 crore

Hyderabad: Govt. of TS proposed an increase of Rs. 800 crore for minorities for the financial year 2018-19 raising it to Rs. 2000 crore.


According to the details, during the current financial year, Govt. of TS released Rs. 800 crore out of which minority institutions spent Rs. 700 crore.


In the next year budget, 2.26 crore have been allocated for minorities welfare. Rs. 5 crore for Dairatul Maarif, OU; Rs. 42 crore for the construction of Urdu Ghar and Marriage halls; Rs. 100 crore for scholarships; Rs. 248 crore for fee reimbursement; Rs. 160 crore for bank linked subsidy schemes; Rs. 80 crore for salaries of Imams and Mauzzins; Re. 1 crore for Survey Commissioner of Wakfs; Rs. 4 crore for Center for Educational Development of Minorities, OU; Rs. 4 crore for Haj Committee; Rs. 25 crore for T Prime and TSEZ; Rs. 8 crore for Telangana Minorities Study Circle; Rs. 30 crore for prematric scholarships; Rs. 300 crore for Shadi Mubarak; Rs. 100 crore for Overseas Scholarships; Rs. 66 crore for Iftaar and Christmas; Rs. 735 crore for minorities residential schools; Rs. 7 crore for Makkah Masjid; Rs. 7 crore for Christian Bhavan have been allocated.
