SAKHI Centre Will Grow Up Women Confidence:Etela

The Finance and Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana Etela Rajender said that SAKHI centres would help to instill confidence among women facing various problems, be it at home, work or other places. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating a One Stop Center-SAKHI near Old Post Office in Karimnagar on Saturday. He said unlike earlier, when women, who were victims of different crimes and disputes had to make rounds to various government offices in search of justice. Now, with the women can approach SAKHI centre and get immediate help.

He said that the State had requested the Central government to grant such centres for all the districts in Telangana and soon, all the 31 districts will have SAKHI centres. He said that the State government is giving top priority for women in welfare and development programmes. He also asked the officials to create awareness among women about their rights and encourage them to use the SAKHI centre
