All India Majlis-e-Itteha-dul Muslimeen (MIM) chief and Hyderabad Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to observe a day’s fast as a mark of protest against disruption of Parliament by opposition parties as a ‘cheap trick.’
“Will he sit on fast for thousands of farmers who lost their lives, for atrocities on Dalits and for not being able to fulfil two crore jobs every year as promised by him? Why doesn’t Mr Prime Minister sit on a fast to atone for his false promises?” Mr Owaisi asked on Wednesday.
