Water Connection Scheme For Rs.1 Only

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSB) in Hyderabad has decided to reintroduce Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS). The scheme that was open from August 1 to August 30, 2016, has been later extended. People who are below the poverty line would be provided with Rs 1 connection. But according to the reports, it is alleged that the scheme is not running effectively due to the interference of middle-class people who have encouraged corruption colluding with water officials.
