Pawan Kalyan Reacts On Sri Reddy Issue

In a day of dramatic developments, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan visited the Film Chambers office demanding action against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and anchor-turned-actor Srireddy who abused his mother.

Accompanied by family members, including his mother, his brother Nagababu and nephews Ram Charan Tej, Varun Tej, Allu Arjun, he spent close to four hours in the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) office before leaving apparently under pressure from the police that emotional fans may create disturbance with his presence.His fans, meanwhile, smashed the glasses of two vehicles including an OB Van of Telugu news channel ABN Andhra Jyothy. They also raised slogans against several TV news channels.Earlier in the day, he indicated his plan of action tweeting: “You all love & die for Shows which will get highest TRPs for your channels, right?? .. Good !!I will give the Mother of all Shows” apparently targeting TV channels that have been running debates on casting couch ever since it erupted.

The series of tweets that followed showed that Mr. Pawan Kalyan was angry with the way the news channels conducted debates. He tweeted “Boycott TV9, TV5, ABN for abusing our Mothers, Daughters & Sisters. And also we have to boycott them for making business out of nudity & profanity. Making business out of a helpless sister.”He also targetted TV9 promoter, Srini Raju, saying that rich and powerful can abuse anyone. “From tomorrow onwards SriniRaju is going to put a defamation case on me but you please restrain yourself. And I am also going for a long and powerful legal battle on these channel heads,” he tweeted asking his followers not to be violent.

Meanwhile, Srireddy put out tweets asking Mr. Pawan Kalyan whether he understood the pain of women when his fans threatened her with rape and acid attacks or was he only worried about his mother’s pain. She also criticised the attack on media vehicles. “When you can’t manage your fans how can you dream of managing the entire State,” she asked and said this was her advice as a sister.Srireddy also dragged YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy into the issue saying he has tonnes of patience unlike Pawan Kalyan. Ramgopal Varma also joined the issue yet again accusing Pawan Kalyan of dragging his mother into public again even after apologies expressed by him.

In a Facebook post, he said if there was any political beneficiary in this whole issue it was only Pawan. He reminded Mr. Pawan Kalyan that the kind of language used by his followers while trolling the mothers, sisters and daughters he referred to in his tweet was more abusive than what Srireddy used.Referring to Pawan’s tweet alleging it was conspiracy hatched by AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh along with Ram Gopal Varma using media close to him, Mr. Varma sarcastically said that he did not find such complicated conspiracy theories even in Agatha Christie’s novels.

He also advised Pawan Kalyan not to talk about death as people expected their hero to kill the enemies rather than talking about death. “When the AP CM is protesting for special status why is it that you are looking for prestige on a comment made by a small actor that would no way harm your image,” he asked.
