Clear All online applications for building approvals: Aravind

All online applications for building approvals should be cleared within the stipulated 21 days in accordance with orders issued by the government, said Mr. Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MAUD.

The Principal Secretary reviewed the progress in disposal of online building applications with the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at the Secretariat here on Friday.A meeting with the line departments such as fire services, registration, revenue and irrigation would be convened shortly to sort out the issues pertaining to granting permissions.

Mr. Kumar also reviewed the disposal of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications and directed officials to clear all pending applications by the end of this month. He directed HMDA officials to send a district-wise list of net pending cases to the District Collectors concerned.

A joint meeting of HMDA and revenue officials should be held on a regular basis to clearly chart government lands, he said, suggesting HMDA engage technology like drone cameras to identify illegal constructions.DTCP should conduct weekly review meetings with all the Urban Local Bodies to expedite the process of clearing pending LRS and building permission applications, he said.

HMDA Commissioner Chiranjeevulu, Collectors of Medchal and Ranga Reddy M.V. Reddy and Raghunandan Rao respectively and S. Balakrishna of the planning department attended the meeting.
