Lake Police of Hyderabad rescued five people

Lake Police of Hyderabad rescued five people, including a man and four women, in different cases from committing suicide by jumping into Hussain Sagar Lake.

On Sunday night around 7.10 p.m, a woman, 33 years, a resident of Lallaguda, was attempting to jump into the lake from a point located opposite Maqdoom Mohiuddin statue.After rescuing her, she told the police that she was married and a mother of four kids. She said that since the last few months, her husband had been harassing her over petty issues. In another incident, a 23-year-old from Safilguda was about to commit suicide by jumping into the lake as she was depressed due to family problems and alleged harassment from parents.

In the third incident, a 33-year-old woman from New Bhoiguda working for a private company in the city was allegedly depressed due to family problems that forced her to commit suicide.


In the fourth case, a 18-year-old girl, who was not willing to stay with her parents and wished to stay in a hostel, came to tank bund to commit suicide. She was also rescued by the lake police personnel. All the four women were counselled by Lake police inspector Dhana-lakshmi and they were all later sent to Bharosa centre.
