RGI airport police registered a case and started investigation

Three cops on duty on a patrolling mobile vehicle escaped unhurt in an accident when an SUV hit their vehicle from behind in the emergency lane on the Outer Ring Road on Tuesday at Shamshabad. The patrolling vehicle was moving at a slow pace in the extreme left lane, when an SUV’s driver dozed off and rammed into the vehicle, said the police.

An ASI, a constable and a driver were present in the vehicle at the time of incident.The ORR Patromobile-II cops near Chennamma hotel point has fixed a speed laser gun. At around 6 pm, they wanted to shift the device to another place. When they were shifting the device, an SUV heading towards Gachibowli rammedinto the patrol vehicle from the rear.

ACP Traffic Shamshabad Mr K. Prasad said that the SUV driver identified as Ravi dozed off suddenly, due to which the vehicle swerved towards left and crashed into patrol vehicle. He was tested negative for alcohol.

ASI Basith, Constable Srinivas and driver Yadaiah were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.“Basith received a small scratch on his leg, while two others are unhurt. The RGI airport police registered a case and started investigation,” he said.
