In an unexpected twist, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan returned to Hyderabad on Wednesday morning, having travelled to Delhi on Tuesday evening on what was to be a two-day visit.
Minister Kalva Srinivasulu said when the state government is fighting the Centre over the latter’s “injustice” to the state, it is not correct for the Governor to “become a Central government agent”. He added that the Governor also has a responsibility to protect the interests of the people of AP.
APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy also accused the Governor of behaving “like an agent of the Central government”, and said the Governor is doing injustice to AP.Reddy, however, also questioned Naidu’s current criticism of the Governor, “when he has sailed with him for four years”.
