TRS Plenary:KCR May Unveil National Agenda Today

All set to the TRS 17th plenary today,KTR and other leaders observed the meeting place at Kompally,Hyderabad two days ago.Now all eyes will be on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as he would be disclosing his agenda for national politics in this 17th plenary.


The stage is set for the day-long plenary of the party at GBR Cultural Centre at Kompally, where over 13,000 delegates are expected to attend the meeting. Since this is the plenary before the election year, the TRS party chief is likely to gear up the rank and file of the party on how to take up the development and welfare activities to the people.


Apart from this, the party chief is slated to disclose his plans of the Federal Front against the national parties like Congress and BJP. The TRS chief has been stating that the Federal Front was to unite people and not the political parties. However, the TRS chief had met several regional party chiefs including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and JDS Chief H D Deve Gowda. In Karnataka, the Chief Minister had called upon people to vote for JDS.


According to sources, the party would adopt a political resolution stressing the need for bringing qualitative changes in the lives of people. The Chief Minister is likely to bring up a debate across the nation on roles of State and Central governments, said a senior TRS leader.


The TRS leaders have been stating that the plenary would show the way forward to the country. Health Minister C Laxma Reddy, who visited the plenary venue said, some good decisions would be taken in the plenary on Friday. He said that the Chief Minister was striving for development of Telangana the same way in which he struggled for separate State. The leaders would talk on what the government has done in the State during the last four years and what is in store for future, he said.


Apart from speaking on the welfare and development programmes of the government, the leaders would answer to the allegations of the opposition parties. IT Minister K T Rama Rao said that the party leaders would answer the allegations of the opposition parties like Congress through plenary.


There were rumours that the IT Minister would be elevated in the party but he had ruled out any such thing. Earlier, when KTR was asked about being elevated to working president, KTR had said that there was no need for any other president when the party already has an active president.


According to TRS leaders, the party may chalk out action plan to get into poll mode for the next general elections. The TRS chief has been confident of winning the elections as he had claimed that as per the surveys taken up by him would fetch 106 seats for the TRS. The CM has been saying that all the sitting members would be given tickets again. The other political parties in the State would also be keeping a close watch on the TRS plenary.
