Telangana's Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Friday spoke at the 17th Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) plenary being held at the GBR Cultural Society in Kompally, Hyderabad.Stating that the TRS Government is all about the farmers, he said that farmer is the king for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Minister further pointed out that the welfare schemes that have been introduced by Telangana government in the past four years for farmers have been appreciated by even former prime ministers - Manmohan Singh and Deve Gowda.
Srinivas Reddy also said that the policies put forth by the state government are a role model for the country adding that the Rythu Bandhu scheme is all set to be implemented from May 10 where cheques will be distributed to farmers towards loan waiver, subsidy, seeds etc.
