Due To Blind Beliefs 135 Villages Deserted

Telangana Revenue records show that some 600 villages have been deserted in the state, due to blind beliefs and faith. Out of these, some 135 villages are situated in Adilabad district. The villagers were leaving the villages for better prospects in the neighboring ones. Some volunteers decided to make the villagers aware and conducted a few workshops. They enlightened the villagers on their fears. They are saying that lack of minimum facilities in these villages too is making them leave and go to better places.
