History-sheeter Ayub Khan was taken into custody

History-sheeter Ayub Khan was taken into custody by the south zone police after three cases were registered against him in three police stations for allegedly threatening a person to resolve a civil dispute. Along with him, the police caught four of his associates.

A rowdy sheet is maintained against Ayub Khan, at the Kamatipura police station. Ayub Khan was released last year from jail after the High Court quashed the Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act invoked by the city police against him.

According to the police Additional DCP (south) Mohammed Ghouse Mohiuddin, a businessman Mazharuddin of Yakutpura has a civil dispute pending in court with a native of Uttar Pradesh, Mishra. The dispute pertains to a shop at Pathergatti. “On April 04, Ayub Khan had threatened Mazharuddin after calling him to his house through his associates. He had threatened to kill him if he did not pay Rs 10 lakh to Mishra. He also forcibly took away Rs 50,000 from Mazharuddin following which the victim approached the Kamatipura police station and lodged a complaint. A case was registered against Ayub Khan,” he said.

The official said that on April 24, the gangster and his associates against threatened Mazharuddin at Rein Bazaar area and demanded he pay up Rs 13 lakh balance he owned to Mishra, who is a native of UP. Following which, another case was registered against Ayub Khan at Rein Bazaar police station.

One more case was registered against the gangster at Falaknuma police station for sending his associates to the shop of Mazharuddin and threatening him. The police registered a case of threatening and trespass against him. According to the police, Ayub Khan was picked up for questioning late in the night by the police after which he complained of ‘chest pain’ and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
