A massive solar storm is going to hit earth today on 6 May, as a coronal hole has opened up in the Sun at 3 places, resulting in the release of a huge swarm of cosmic particles with heavy electric charge.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has cautioned that the solar storm might effect the earth's magnetic field there by satellites causing interruption to GPS, mobile, & TV signals. NASA has classified the storm as G-1 out of 5 types of solar storms.
