Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao to study projects in China

Hyderabad: A delegation headed by Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao would visit China soon to study the maintenance and construction of major lift irrigation projects. This was decided at a review meeting on irrigation projects chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday at Pragathi Bhavan.
The Chief Minister felt that it is imperative to adopt new techniques in the execution and maintenance of lift irrigation projects, flood flow canals and desilting of irrigation channels. China is much forward in using advance technology in the project construction, KCR opined.
The Chief Minister instructed Harish to make an in-depth study of the technology adopted in Telangana and the Chinese technology. He told the minister to finalise the schedule for China visit at the earliest.
