Intermediate Supplementary Exams From May 14

The Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination examinations will going to start from May 14.And the exams will end on May 21.Addressing media here on Friday, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Examination (TSBIE) Secretary Dr A Ashok said that all major examination papers of the Advanced Supplementary will be completed by May 21. The examinations will be held in two sessions every day. While the forenoon session will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, the afternoon session will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, he said.  


Further, the students reporting after 9 am and 2.30 pm will not be allowed to enter the examination halls. Students will have 15 minutes time ahead of the scheduled timing of the examination to fill their bio-data on the OMR sheets, he added. 


Students appearing for the examinations can download hall tickets visiting the websites https://tsbie.cgg.gov.in and https://admi.tsbie.cgg.gov.in from May 11. The practical examinations will be held from May 24 to 28, and the examination for the Ethics and Human Values and Environmental Education papers will be held on May 29 and 30, respectively, from 10 am to 1 pm on both the days, Ashok informed. 


A total of 4.2 lakh candidates have registered to appear for the examinations. Of the total number of candidates, 1.25 lakh candidates have applied for improvement and 1.42 lakh are failed candidates. About 2.68 candidates are appearing for the first year and 1.51 lakh candidates are appearing for the second year intermediate examinations in the Advanced Supplementary, he said.


To provide necessary assistance to students a control room will function with Telephone Nos.040-24601010/23732369 and Fax 040-24655027. The examination will be held in 819 centres for which 8,420 invigilators are roped in. Officials from the revenue, police, education department and TSBIE will also be assisting in the smooth conduct of the examinations, he said.


He said that the Board has so far granted affiliation to 1,057 junior colleges and rejected applications of 57 colleges as they do not have necessary infrastructure as per the norms. The process of affiliations will be completed by May 20, as the Board will be announcing the schedule of admissions for the academic year 2018-19 on May 21, he said.
