Chaderghat Miner Rape case takes U Turns

Task Force Team of Hyderabad  The city police said it would book cases against all persons involved in Friday night’s assault on a man inside the Chaderghat police station. The man had been accused of attempting to rape a minor.

It will take a day or two for the the incident to be probed, sources said. A police official said MIM Malakpet legislator Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala was involved in the incident.

According to sources, there are six CCTV cameras in the police station and on the premises and the footage from them is being analysed to check if the MLA was present inside the police station at the time of the incident. Videos which went viral showed that the MLA was present and was leading the assault.The issue has drawn mixed response from people, some of whom stated that taking action against persons who help the police in nabbing the accused, especially in such heinous crimes, will send a wrong message.

“The incident was spontaneous. Even before he was detained, he was beaten badly by the locals. Should there be action against them as well,” asked one. A few others said it the attack was cruel and violation of human rights. A senior city police official stated the incident which happened inside the police station was not acceptable.It was also found the accused when detained by the police was drunk, due to which he was not put in the lock-up.  arrested a cheater
