A Police constable earned the appreciation of SP

A police constable earned the appreciation of Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier and other superior officials by exemplifying honesty. He is working with a dog squad of Nirmal police unit.

The constable, Paspulu Laxman, spotted a gold ring, measuring six grams and worth Rs 20,000, on a road at Ramnagar in the town on Monday. The ring belonged to Padawal Vikas, a native of Bhutayi village in Bazarhathnoor mandal. Vikas lost it when he met with a road accident while he was on his way to Adilabad town.

Laxman, a resident of Ramnagar, returned the ring to Vikas in the presence of the Superintendent and Maval Sub-Inspector B Anil Kumar on Tuesday. Warrier said that the constable set an example for other cops by honestly giving back the ring. He informed that he would request Nirmal Superintendent to reward Laxman for leading by example. He added these gestures would enhance the image of the Police Department.Vikas thanked the constable for returning the ring. He asserted that he never imagined that he would find it again. He recollected that cops had organised a medical camp in his village and brought respite to many residents, recently.

Special Branch Inspector Konka Mallesh also complimented the constable.
