Abids Police raided an apartment and apprehended seven people

The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task force, Central Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Abids Police raided an apartment and apprehended seven people who were allegedly involved in organising betting.

The accused were as Syed Hassan, 28 of Abids, M.A. Basith, 42 of Moghalpura, Abubakar, 42 of Dabeerpura, Md. Rahmathullah, 42 of Nayapool, Shakeer Masood Saleh, 37, Sardar Khan, 51 years of Miralam Mandi (Old city), and Md. Ahmedullah Khan, 50 of Moghalpura.“The accused had rented the flat five years ago and paid a rent of Rs 16,000. They used to use the flat between 11 pm and 04 am every day for organising card games. The accused to collect Rs 500 from each person who came to play and used to invite punters and friends to their flat,” said P. Radha Kishan Rao, Deputy Commissioner, Task Force.

The officials seized Rs 17,450 cash, 104 playing cards and eight cell phones from the possession of the accused. The accused along with the seized material have been handed over to the Station House Officer (SHO) Abids for further investigation and prosecution.
