In a refreshing initiative, the Metro rail commuters can avail the option of picking up fresh vegetables at the station itself. ‘Mana Kuragayalu’ outlets are being set up at stations between Miyapur to Paradise. In the first phase, 11 such outlets will be set up and are expected to be launched in June second week. The idea is to make the Metro travelers have the convenience to purchase vegetables on their way back home as they will be placed at the street level of the stations which works even for the general public. The outlets are being designed aesthetically to match the ambiance at Metro stations.

Following the first phase, similar outlets will be set up from Secunderabad to Nagole stations in the second phase. According to the details, it costs about Rs 6 to Rs 7 lakh for setting up one Mana Kuragayalu outlet. So far, 56 ‘Mana Kuragayalu’ outlets are being operated across Hyderabad and efforts are being made to set up 30 to 40 outlets in different areas of the city before July 3.
