Bridging last mile connectivity gaps from Hyderabad Metro Stations will be start-up companies, with the Telangana State Innovation Cell announcing the Station Access and Mobility Program (STAMP) conducted by the WRI India Ross Centre in collaboration with the Toyota Mobility Foundation.

STAMP was launched last year in Bengaluru and now moved to Hyderabad.While there are start-ups developing mobility solutions, they are not well connected with agencies.“STAMP is a model of integration between start-ups and all relevant stake holders. Their primary focus is on addressing connectivity to Metro trains and navigability in the station areas. Metrobikes, which supplies bikes at Metro stations, is an output of this program,” said Sudeept Maiti, Senior Manager, Integrated Urban Transport at WRI.

WRI has partnered with HMRL, L&T and IIIT-H for this program, which is open to anyone from across India with a solution to address the problem of last mile connectivity. Last year, there were five winners, one of which was a citizens' group. The program will be officially launched on June9 in Hyderabad, after which application forms will be made available.

Shortlisted start-ups and groups will undergo a bootcamp followed by which solutions will be implemented as pilot program for three months.
