Dabeerpura police registered a case of cheating against KSS travel agency

The Dabeerpura police registered a case of cheating against KSS travel agency for allegedly duping Umrah pilgrimage aspirants and other pilgrims bound for Iran.

According to the police, Altaf Hussain of KSS Travel agency cheated several persons after collecting between Rs 18,000 and Rs 35,000 for the pilgrimage.However, as he failed to send the pilgrims, several persons approached the Dabeerpura police on Tuesday and filed a complaint. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 420 and 406 of Indian Penal Code against Altaf Hussain and others.

“Enquiries revealed that the KSS travel agency was sending persons on the holy pilgrimage for the last three to four years and they claim to have sent about 9000 persons so far.  A team will be sent to Andhra Pradesh to take Altaf Hussain into custody.” said DCP (south) V Satyanarayana.

3 held for running fake job website

The cyber crime police from the city has arrested three persons from New Delhi On Tuesday for creating a fake job website and cheating people.The accused have been identified as Vikas Kumar, Subash and Vikas Khandelwal, all employees of I Tech Solutions in Delhi. "The accused had created a fake website with the name Telangana Agro Development Corp, inviting applications for posts like project manager, marketing officer, field officer, computer operator, lab technicians and clerks," said Anjani Kumar, commissioner of police, Hyderabad.

Several youths from the state applied for jobs on the web site and were charged a fee of Rs 98 was charged from each of them. After applying they would receive a letter by post asking them to pay another Rs 499 for the application. If the amount was not paid, they would get a message that the application has been rejected.
