Mukherjee's decision to attend the RSS meeting has shocked: Rao

Congress senior leader and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday requested former president Pranab Mukherjee to rethink his decision on attending a RSS meeting.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Rao said Mr Mukherjee had held various positions in the past in the Congress. “Mr Mukherjee’s decision to attend the RSS meeting has shocked him,” Mr Rao said.The former Rajya Sabha MP said that the people were expressing surprise at the former president participating as chief guest at the Nagpur meeting of RSS which wants the country to be Hindu. The Congress leader said that the decision of Mr Mukherjee was not correct.
