At the Dalita Girijana Simha Garjana held at Warangal on Sunday, several national-level leaders voiced their displeasure at the Supreme Court’s judgement on the SC and ST Act and called for a united fight against the BJP government which is trying to dilute the Act.

The meeting was attended by several leaders of various national and local parties. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Mallikarjuna Kharge said atrocities against Dalits, Adivasis and Minorities have increased after the BJP came to power. He alleged that the BJP government is supporting the offenders and helping them evade punishment. “To top it all, the BJP, with the help of the Supreme Court, is trying to dilute the SC, ST Atrocities Act. The Modi government is trying to change the Constitution. It is time for all of us to join hands and what is a better place than Warangal which is known to be the land of revolt and unity,” he said.
