Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud was on Monday booked by the Mailardevpally police in a land grabbing case on Monday.

According to the police, a complaint was received from one Avula Srinivas, alleging that the Rajendranagar MLA and his men tried to occupy a parcel of land belonging to him. “The land, at survey number 160, was earlier sold to Mr Srinivas’  father by the MLA.  Now, when Mr Srinivas was looking to sell the land, Mr Goud is stopping him by claiming that the land still belongs to him,” said Mailardevpally inspector P. Jagadeeshwar.

Based on a complaint, cases were booked under IPC Section 447 (criminal trespass), 427 (mischief) and Section 506 r/w 36 (criminal intimidation) and an investigation was started.
