MLAs expelled from Assembly wants security

The High Court of Hyderabad  issued notices to the principal secretary, home, and Gadwal and Nalgonda superintendents of police, directing them to file counter-affidavits on petitions filed by expelled Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar seeking a direction to the government to provide them security.


The MLAs said the High Court had declared their expulsion from the Assembly as illegal. In view of this, their security has to be restored by the government. They urged the court to direct officials to provide with with two-plus-two gunmen.Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy directed the respondents to file their affidavits within four weeks.
