Telangana Engineers' Day to celebrations on July 11

On the the birth anniversary of Mir Ahmed Ali, Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur,on July 11 Telangana Engineers' Day will be celebrated in Telangana.He was the Chief Engineer during the rule of Nizam of Hyderabad.He was instrumental in construction of major irrigation structures, buildings and bridges in the State. The Hyderabad Metro Water Works Department has taken the responsibility of organising the Engineers’ Day this year. 

Techincal sessions will be organised from 10 am in the day on major projects being implemented by the State Government. The session will be followed by a public meeting at the Institute of Engineers. The Minister for IT and Industries, KT Rama Rao would be the chief guest, according to irrigation officials.
