The 1st Haj batch to leave from Hyderabad on August 1

The first batch of Haj pilgrims from the Telangana state will be leaving for Saudi Arabia from August 1 by the Saudi Arabian airlines. The last flight will leave the RGI Airport on August 16.


According to S.A. Shukoor, Telangana State Haj Committee special officer, around 6,060 pilgrims will be leaving from the state while another 2,000 from a few districts of Karnataka and AP will also be leaving from Hyderabad embarkation point. The Saudi Arabia airlines will fly the passengers in all 26 flights.


The Telangana State Haj Committee said that the Haj pilgrims have been asked to remit some amount towards adjustment of the total expenditure as the Saudi government has fixed the exchange rate of a Saudi Riyal at Rs 17.91. While the pilgrims selected for Green category have to pay Rs 7,750, those in Azizia category will have to pay Rs 7,150 and Rubath category Rs 6,350. The vaccination will be done in the next  week.
