Hussain Sagar lake will be cleared within 3 months: HMDA

The industrial waste that is contaminating Hussain Sagar lake will be cleared within three months, said Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) Commissioner, Chiranjeevulu. He inaugurated the launch of a sewage removal machine at the Bathukammakunta, near Necklace Road. He said that while 93 per cent of the waste in the city goes into Musi river, some 450 MLD of industrial effluents are coming into Hussain Sagar lake. It has been planned to remove this and send only treated water into the lake, he added.
