Telangana industry and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao asked TS RTC chairman and Ramagundam MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana to withdraw from his decision to quit politics. Mr. Satyanarayana said that he would obey the minister’s order, while reiterating that he had never been involved in anti-party activities.

Mr Satyanarayana met the industry minister at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday. “Some corporators moved a no-confidence motion against Ramagundam Mayor. There’s no involvement from my side. I briefed Mr Rao about my problems and situation,” he said. Later, Satyanarayana went to Pragati Bhavan to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.

The no-confidence motion was moved against the Mayor Konkati Laxminarayana, who complained that Mr Satyanarayana was behind the TRS corporators supporting them to team up with Congress and TD corporators. As many as 39 out of 50 corporators signed the notice against the mayor.
