Sangareddy Police have arrested Beeramguda robbery couple

Within 10-days of incident, the Sangareddy Police have arrested two persons involved in the robbery of a jewellery shop at Beeramguda. The incident took place on the night of July 3rd and the police were able to nab them on July 12th in West Bengal. They were identified as Sunil Mahato and Suntha Mahato.

According to Additional SP Mahender, on that night at about 8 p.m. two persons — a male and female appearing to be wife and husband — entered the Sree Jai Bhavani Jewellery shop as customers and asked the owner to show gold ornaments. At closing time when the shop owner went to an adjacent room, containing the iron safe, to lock up the gold ornaments and cash, they followed him into the room, overpowered him thrown chilli powder on him, locked him up in a bathroom and decamped with one kilogram golden ornaments and  4.5 lakh cash.

A case was registered in the Ameenpur police station and investigation carried with the help of Cyberabad police. The police collected the details of the culprits based on the CC TV footage at the shop as well as enroute. The police identified that the two had entered Modi Golden Farms at Ameenpur. Based on the information gathered from the footage, the police went to Asansol in West Bengal and apprehended Sunil Mahato alias Kishan Mahato and his wife Sunita Mahato alias Parinitha Singh, natives of Kurda district of Odisha. The police have recovered an amount of ? 92,500. The accused were brought here on transit warrant and gold ornaments are yet to be recovered from them.
